Ednannia for Community: project grants for reforms, recovery and European integration
The Ukrainian civil society platform ISAR Ednannia has launched the third wave of its project grant competition under the ‘Ednannia for Community’ project, financed by the European Union. The initiative is designed to support systemic democratic transformations, enhance community recovery capacities, and advance Ukraine towards European Union integration.
This funding call targets non-governmental organizations and will support approximately 20 initiatives. The donor does not specify an exact monetary grant ceiling, but selected projects must span between 6 and 12 months. All applications must be submitted by 18:00 on October 9, 2026.
What is funded
The competition funds initiatives that align with three core thematic directions: reforms, recovery, and European integration. Eligible activities include developing policy-relevant analytical documents and research, launching local or national advocacy and communication campaigns, and establishing educational or training programmes for activists, civil servants, journalists, and youth.
The call also covers measures aimed at restoring disrupted processes in sectors such as education, healthcare, social protection, culture, economy, and local self-governance. Additionally, initiatives facilitating media cooperation and media literacy around reforms are eligible. Grants can cover project personnel salaries, administrative costs, expert honoraria, event organization, analytical services, and procurement of necessary equipment and goods.
Who can apply
Civil society organizations and non-governmental entities registered across government-controlled territories of Ukraine are eligible to apply. Initiatives may involve close cooperation with central government structures or local authorities.
Applicants can submit more than one project proposal to the competition. However, only one grant application per organization can be selected for funding. Partnerships with government bodies, local self-governments, or local media outlets must be officially confirmed at the submission stage where required.
Conditions and requirements
Projects can operate at the local community level, regional level encompassing multiple communities or an entire oblast, or national level. All activities must be carried out within the territory under the control of the Government of Ukraine.
Practical tip. Make sure to ground your initiative in measurable systemic change rather than a standalone event, and secure official partnership letters early. If your proposal includes policy research or collaboration with local authorities and media, ISAR Ednannia explicitly requires confirmed written endorsement from the relevant public authority or partner upon application submission.
Projects must be designed for an implementation duration of 6 to 12 months. Implementation is anticipated to commence no earlier than one month following the application deadline.
How to apply
Applicants must register and prepare their application materials in accordance with the official guidelines outlined by ISAR Ednannia. All required documentation, including budget plans and mandatory partner confirmation letters, must be completed and submitted through the donor’s portal before the deadline.
The final deadline for submitting proposals is October 9, 2026, at 18:00. Inquiries regarding the competition terms can be addressed through the donor’s dedicated toll-free support line.
Applications are submitted on the donor’s page: ednannia.ua.
